What is Brainspotting?
Brainspotting (BSP) is a therapy that is an offshoot of EMDR. It was discovered in 2003, by David Grand PhD. It has been used with crisis work and routine therapy to get to the root of an issue quickly. Often clients report increased awareness and relief after just a few sessions. It is imperative that complete assessment and other tools be introduced before getting into BSP. Eye position in the visual field help access unprocessed trauma and other issues in the deeper brain.
“ Where you look affects how you feel.” This premise allows you to dive deeper into issues or help develop inner resources to soothe you. Our brain stores info and utilizing visual field helps access information.
